Two more in the pipeline
Two more in the pipeline
Since there doesn't seem much building going on in the site now I thought maybe mine could generate some interest.

- There is still a lot to do, but I enjoy building them.

Re: Two more in the pipeline
Lovely work. How do you make your metal parts? Do you use a milling machine?
Re: Two more in the pipeline
Thanks Jason,
yes I have a little 'chinese' milling machine bought it from Warco. It works well but I did some 'setting' and 'fettling' on it.
How is your work progressing.
Best Regards Ron Mc

Thanks Russ, how are you.
Re: Two more in the pipeline
Im doing ok Ron thanks for asking , debating should i build again or not , lol . Ive got a few telecaster guitars im working and i do have some unfinished steels in my shop , darn wood is so expensive these days . My milling machine and lathe are just collecting dust as well as my other big tools , the blower on my foundry furnace needs replaced before i can melt any metal again , what to do what to do lol. I was working on a violin belly the last few days when a slip of the chisel punched a hole in it totally ruined it . Your guitars are looking very nice , hope i get to see one in person one day, are you selling them ? do you make your own pickups ? I wish you many builds Ron , you do them so well
Re: Two more in the pipeline
It's nice to hear from you again Russ, I have sold one and have another up for sale, I don't make my own pickups, I am inclined towards the BL 705s though, they sound nice to my ears but the one I am using at the moment has an 'Alumitone' in it.
Building them keeps me busy and I don't rush at it, I think it takes me about 6 months to complete one, my missus says I ought to stop for a while as I am running out of room but I get bored just sitting around.
Keep in touch, we don't seem to have much movement on the site now, other than someone asking a question, getting an answer, but never saying if it was any help or not.
Best Regards and take care of yourself. Ron Mc

Slowly, Ron! I've made the knee levers but not their attachments. Will Cowell is making my end plates and pedals on his mill, but has had some problems that have slowed him down, and it m currently working on my changer.
Key head is done. That's something I suppose!
