Hey Paul, still alive?
A general view:
As I dont like my Pau ferro fingerboard, I inlaid some quilted maple, that will be dyed black as the headstock is. The other parts will be inlaid too (fully)
I'll get my inlays tomorrow at the post office
The whole fretboard will be ebony bound and varnished

Thanks for the kind words, Ronmaxi19 wrote:That is beautiful and extremely professional, your instructions on inlay work make it look easy, a sign of an excellent craftsman.

Hey boys,
The fingerboard is really on the way:
Black dyed flamed maple and MOP... varnished (artificial light picture...)

Xavier, Your design skills as well as your eye for colour, shape and wood patterns are out of this world.
I believe fully that you would go very far designing and making your own line just like the great designers before you did.
Like the saying goes: Make a better mouse trap and people will beat a path to your door.
Cant wait to hear this one, and see the beginnings of the next one.

Thanks Bent
I dont trust in my designer's skill... Just inspired from existing models, unable to create from scratch
My next project, if it is a lap steel (might be a guitar like a Rickenbacker 330) will be inspired from the 6 strings fender studio deluxe, with feet. I have to solve the headstock problem ...
