Xavier, I like what you've gone around the pickup. I like how you blended with the fretboard and bridge. I'm as anxious as you to see the finished product. I wish you luck with the finishing of your guitar.
Thank you for your encouragements guys
I miss some black screws to screw the wood around the PU, the cavities covers and the bridge (I'll screw it after the finish process under the brass piece), try to find some here...
Knowing that the piece around the PU will be painted black, back and sides white and the top white with 2 mid black strips, would you varnish the inlaid fretboard or let it natural? New Yorkers have both (not varnished but lucite ones). A nice shiny FB could be OK too ...
As I sanded the ebony (and will again for the inlay job) the black stain went away, I'll have to restain it. Do you think I can apply the black stain on the bone inlaid fretboard without staining in black the inlays ?
Thank you,
Hey Xavier, is all the white hard on the eyes as you sit in your tropical and sunny place? Those pictures are sure hurting mine. I have to wait for the winter snow to be blinded like that! LOL. Looks good to me so far. Keep on plugging away at it Buddy. I want to see the finished product.
