She's Finished, at Last!
Re: She's Finished, at Last!
Hi Dave,
I keep looking at these photos. What a lovely piece of work! When can I come and apprentice with you? I don't know what else to say that hasn't already been said. I got back from Norway early this AM which is why I didn't respond earlier.

Dave, if the person u built it for doesn't like it........then they obviously are suffering from brain damage and we should feel sympathetic. BTW I'll take it off your hands, you know to make some space and such...Stormy..

Stormy -
I must disappoint you my friend. I have been in secret consultation with Dave for a couple of weeks and I am assured that I have first dibs on the instrument should the potential buyer suffer a massive mental collapse and decline delivery. The early bird gets the worm and all that sort of rot.
I wish.

Hi Dave, I am all choked up. What a lovely piece of work. Your sense for detail is astounding. Just the personal touches on the pickup/changer housing speaks of an eye for detail and some very personal adornments like the nice trimming out you did along all the sides. The undercarriage looks just as good as the top. That speaks to my idea of how it should look. This is usually what other steel players see first with the steel upside down in the case. I believe first impressions are very important and contributes a whole lot to the overall impression of these beautiful instruments. What other instruments project such beauty as the pedal steel guitar? I know, it's in the eye of the beer holder but to us, it is the prettiest thing. So we had better make it look great both on top and underneath.
You, Dave, have succeeded. Ten stars!
