Re: Steel Project #4 - SOLD

Post by Bent »

Well, that was quick. I sold this steel to a picker in Norway. We have firmed up the deal and I will be taking the guitar with me when I go to Norway in August.

It will have 4 p and 5 KL, which will most likely be the standard equipment on the BenRom, Natural Maple body with aluminum frame re-enforcement. Also brass changer fingers and gauged brass rollers.

Trying my hand at milling endplates. Let me tell ya, it's nerve-wracking for a greenhorn! one slip with that table crank and the $32 piece of 6061 is scrap metal.
Wish me luck; I'll need all I can get :?

Nice work there ol 'fellow, :) , just a suggestion for you...i find that it's alot easyer to tap the threads before notching the 1/4" step, ;) . and i also learned to think ahead when making endplates and it saves me alot of time and work,
keep it up...i might need some tips with working a mill cause i'm in the progress to buy one soon. :P

Pat ;)

Yes, I think if you keep posting the pictures of the great work your doing you'll have us all wanting to go and buy milling machines. It appears you have Pat convinced. Nice work bent, I am jealous.
