Re: Xavier-A Musical Talent
Well, Paul, ( :) ) you won. My english is really poor, and I cant tell what I feel... Shame on me! I'm NOT a great player... I play alone for myself, just for fun... even if I played the 5strings banjo in a irish band (No bluegrass band in Reunion Island, where I lived some years ago!)...

Re: National Lap Steel
Hi Kat, Checked the Lap steel with digital caliper this morning: The neck is 51,15 mm at nut The plexi fretboard is 47,5 mm at nut, 67 mm at the other end (37th fret) The nut is 49 mm (but is not flush with the neck, I think it's a mistake... Even if it still looks OK after 58 years, It seems that t...

Re: About wood for a Squareneck acoustic Dobro
Hi Bent, I keep your PU for the next lap steel, of course!!! I think I'll shape it as a Oahu tonemaster, easier to build than a carved top. Just waiting for the wood to be ready. How long would you let the wood dry (I would say "humidify":-) ? I got it from France last september, it was already seas...

Re: Drawings for 23" fretboard
I think the most acurate way is to use a freeware CAD software and enter the fret spacings... print, glue the paper on the fretboard and saw (after checking of course:-))
