Top Tickness

Need to check something, I have conflicting info re the thickness of a pedal steel top. Anywhere from 5/8 " to 1" in 1/8 increments. I'm going to try black ash out of curiosity. If not that then probably birch.

Pedal Rod Spacing

This has been asked before in a different way (Pedal Spacing). I believe it was Pat who uses 2 3/4 inch spacing. I hate to be contrary but I drew it up on my proto board this morning and it seems too wide. 2 1/4 inch seems more reasonable to me with a 1 inch pedal. Is there a standard, some other ba...

In my case probably cheap, tight, squeaky and anything else you can think of. I'll let you know how I make out.

I've thought of buying a mechanics socket extention and cutting it up. I'll be taking my micrometer and a finger to town tomorrow to check it out. They look good on the shelf anyway.

Dave, Thanks for your post. Considering I'm still in the heavy thinking/planning process what you're saying is well work trying. I've been puzzling the flex issue a bit and so far all I've come up with is trying a 3/16 push rod possibly combined with a nylon support block to ease or prevent it. But ...
