Re: Quick-lock for pull rods ?
Georg, Do you mean it as in this example?: Rod for A pedal is to be used on C pedal instead. Pull rod out of changer to accommodate the shorter run. Then lock the rod in place and still, of course have it tuneable. Then said rod would extend several inches out from the changer - not pretty - so rod ...

Re: The second one on the way!
Xavier, Your design skills as well as your eye for colour, shape and wood patterns are out of this world. I believe fully that you would go very far designing and making your own line just like the great designers before you did. Like the saying goes: Make a better mouse trap and people will beat a ...

Hi Alex, I missed this thread completely - been rather busy with my latest project and other things. Paul is the man to stay close to as he is working on much the same project as you : a home-built re-build. It amazes me how many of these guitars keep cropping up! There are lots of good ideas built ...

Re: Length of the keyhead
My keyhead is 6 3/8". Like Ron is hinting, you make the keyhead to suit your own purpose. The way I reason is: from roller to first and 10th key shaft I like a big length as possible to make more of a gentle slope for the strings that are closest to the nut. So the cutout here is 1.6" then, going by...

Re: Home built D-10
I had just started building a D10. I got as far as starting to mill out the aluminum necks and then I got another order for an SD10. So the D10 gt put on hold of course. But one of these days....

Re: McGregor Steel 2nd build in progress
Don, I love what I see - I like the choice of wood, the fact that it is all wood(except endplates) . It also ozzes of strength and stability , something I really like.
I bet you'll get a great tone out of it!
