See thru pedal steel

Post by na4it »

Probably wouldn't be the best body material, but wouldn't it be neat to make a pedal steel out of Lucite or something so it would be see thru? What got me thinking was I saw a Stratocaster knock off on Goodwill's auction site with a see thru body. Might be a neat trick for a builder to do as a demo, so people could see the guts without having to turn it over, or lay in the floor.

Neat. I wonder what it would do to the sound?

I was wondering how much cabinet drop - Lucite isn't renowned for strength/rigidity!

It's not a steel, but I remember back in the day Keef playing a clear Lucite Dan Armstrong-Ampeg. Very Cool! Image

Enjoy!
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.
