Many years ago, I hit on a way of putting a helper spring on the sixth string (which lowers a full tone) on my push-pull
If I had attached the helper spring to the raise finger (as is usually the case), it would have defeated the full-tone lower.
I hit on the idea (and have modded both my push-pull and my Marlen pull-release, which is similar) by putting the helper spring on the rod that does the lowering, so that, when the string is lowered, the whole assembly moves.

Man Richard, that's pretty ingenious. I know I'll get some use out of that one. Thanks.
