scale length

Post by Bay »

I wanted to know if you measure from center of nut to middle of changer, or from back of nut to middle of changer to determine scale lenght..Thanks

Measure from the center of the nut ( or rollers) to the center of the changer shaft where your changer fingers are located , that is your scale length, your twelvth fret is exactly mid way . Russ

Hi all, I hope this fret locator works (Carter Steel Guitars). You can punch in any scale length in imperial or metric and it will calculate the fret spacings for you. You will have to click on the attachment and down load it and save it to your computer, I do hope that it works.
