Finally back to posting a bit guys. Been doing LOTS of yard work. I still owe you folks photos of my steel that you've helped me with. Just a couple of more tweeks & I'll take some snaps.
Just got my pull rod tuning nuts - (didn't like what I used short piece of 1/8 in. brakeline and a hex nut, it worked but they turned easy and with the pedal action there seemed to be a bit too much tuning to do).
Question: How long should the threaded portion be on the pull rod ends.

Eldon, welcome back. Your yard must look like the Garden of Eden by now!
I used 1" hex nuts and turned about an inch of thread on the rod. Then I put the nut on halfway. That gives me plenty of leeway in both directions
Also, I have a half inch long aluminum cylinder on the rod, behind the nut. This prevents the threads from rubbing on the raise/lower bars. I got hold of these at Facca fasteners.
