I have the Gluck CD, and older version, it was useful to give me some ideas, and as to how a Pedal Steel Guitar works. It is kind of hard to get through, I basically copied off all the information I considered useful and put it onto my hard disc for referencing, as I found the navigation method hard to follow.
You can see from my first pedal steel build and now the second, I'm very much a beginner and still learning.
Bent, I appreciate your images you have uploaded. In particular, the changer fingers images. Up to now I sort of gave up on the 3 part fingers due to their complexity, instead opting for single piece fingers, which I am also using in the 2nd build. I'd really like to make the same changer fingers that you have made, including the bearings ( I have some of the same bearings,) perhaps in a upcoming build.
Eventually I'll try to build a 10 string pedal steel with E9 tuning, and raise/lower capability.
I agree there is a lot of good information on this forum.
