Allan, my "rule" is "1/100" - out of 100 attempts I allow for up to 99 more or less total mistakes in order to get 1 more or less perfectly right. Has worked well for me so far... ;)

Keep yer tools sharp! That way you can use more of your strength guiding them AWAY from your body rather than forcing the cut!!!
