Splits

Howdy ya'll!
Haven't thought much about my planned build for a few months, but I started to mock it up as a 3d model and I have a question about tunable splits:
Do they contact what I've been calling the "control finger" (the part that the strings are attached to and ride on) or the scissor?

In these pictures the red rods represent the splits and I have them placed to impact the control finger.







Here's with the block removed to better see how they're aligned:

Generally the split screw contacts against the control finger, or string cam as intend to call it.

Ah, “string cam” is a much more accurate name.
