Besides changer parts, which parts need to be made from steel and which can be made from aluminum?

I use aluminum for almost everything on the new Sierra Pedal Steels I'm building. I use stainless steel for all the pivot points (cross shafts, changer, knee pivots) and for pull rods.

I use both 7075 and 6061 aluminum.

I have a ZB D10. I have all the rods and levers out of it. I have all the springs and screws bolts etc out of the C6 changer. I figured once I got them out all I would have to do is remove the center pivot pin that runs through the fingers and they would just drop out the bottom. What is keeping the pin in the fingers? It won't budge and I don't want to try and drive it out or force it out.
