Pedal Prob

Post by donhal »

Really having pedal problems. Should pedal 1 & 2 travel the same distance? Should they be the same height when they not engaged?
Thanks Don Hall

no.
Pedal two, generally the B pedal only raises by a semitone, wheres pedal one, (The A pedal on an Emmons setup) raises a whole tone, so is slightly higher than the B pedal at rest as it requires more travel. when engaged, they should be more or less the same height, say, half an inch or so above the ground? but whatever works for you is ok. it's your guitar. after all!

I setup mine so they are roughly the same height at rest, but I have the 'A' pedal pull rod position further out so it gives a longer pull for the same travel and they end up about the same height when down.

My setup is 'DAY'

Hope this makes sense.
