Thanks Richard, but the tool here in the United States will run me $80, Walmart was the cheapest costing only $44.95 plus what ever tax.

That's a reasonable enough price, Richard, but after speaking with RS (as much help as a fart in a spacesuit!) and the manufacturer, it seems that particular type of cutter is made for a magnetic drill, and won't fit in a standard drill press. unless you remove the chuck and replace it with an arbor of some kind. Im still thinking on it.

Well after trial and error and a simple tools like a pair of pliers a hand drill I put the cross shaft into the hand drill and gripped the pliers onto the other end while the drill was turning and grinder down the rods to desire size, worked quite well, bushing fits and cross shaft spins nicely.
