Steel No 3 in the rough
Steel No 3 in the rough
This is my progress on 'steel No 3', there is still a lot to do as far as polishing is concerned, the end plates have still to be sanded and polished as are the knee levers etc.
The body needs more sanding and coats of varnish, but there is no hurry. I will keep posting progress as it happens.
Regards to all

Re: Steel No 3 in the rough
Hey Ron,
That is really looking good! Is that the same changer you started when you posted back in April 2014? I followed that post with great interest and would like to hear how it has worked out for you. If you can could you post a little more on your under carriage design. I like how you put that together. Keep up the good work and I am following this post with great interest and hope to hear a sound bite when you finish. Beautiful
Paul

Sweet, looking really good, Ron!
Re: Steel No 3 in the rough
Thanks Will and Paul, it's the first time I have used a dye on wood but it is worth the effort. Paul the changer is the same as the one I put the dimensions for on the site.
Will how is your build coming along?
Best Regards Ron Mc

Re: Steel No 3 in the rough
Some more shots and progress, and a close up for Paul on how my chassis is fixed to the leg supports
I have now to start manufacturing the pedals, pedal bar, legs and rodding.
