My Sheffield D10 is slowly taking shape

Post by sheffield steel »

HI Guys,
My D10 "Caribbean sea burst" is off the ground, hopefully she will be a Christmas present for me, waiting for parts to be machined. Going to try Bill Lawrence 705 pups on this new baby, I normaly use George. L 's.

Stormy my friend, I'm just a "BOF" or so my wife says! I just think that I'm a "steel nut", but I'm pleased that you like her. :D

Hi Dave, I've got it up and running and I found there are parts that I could have done different, so, I have started another one.

The old pickup I had wasn't much cop so I put in a 'Lace tonebar' which sounds a whole lot better, by the time I finish the second one I might be able to play something on the first.

Best regards to you and your Mrs.

Ain't nuthin' like a beautiful piece of quilted maple - in the hands of a master craftsman, that is.

Ya gonna really play it or just look at it?

Yer somethin' else, Dave.
