Hi all, I've been playing lap steel for many years and Fender cable models for just a few years. I'm a guitar repairman by trade. I thought I'd settled down forever with my old Fenders and then one night late on eBay tragedy struck, I was overcome by forces out of my control and I bid on this. Turns out I was the only bidder. I bet several of you wiser folks restrained yourselves. It may be a FauxBud built with some real ShoBud parts. I'm not worried about that. It took months of stealing time away from my business but it now looks nice and plays nicer than either of my Fenders. It still looks incredibly crude compared to the stuff you guys turn out. I added a knee lever, E-Eb, trying to stay in the same style as the original builder, more or less. The reverser I built works but maybe I should change the E-Eb knee to the RKL side so I won't need to reverse anything. Now my first questions. With this simple pull-release mechanism is there a way to keep my E-Eb knee and also have an E-F# "C" pedal? How about even more heartache and adding an E-F knee? My needs are few and I don't mind doing without, but if I can do it I will. --- I play both necks a lot and this will be a gig machine. I love its tone and its relative lightness. If these Facebook picture links don't work I'll try something else.

Hi Keith,
First, welcome to the group. I just joined a few days ago also.
It's fairly quiet in here but hopefully we both can get some advice when needed.
I sure do need it...........
Just thought I would mention that those of us out here who don't do Facebook can't see
the pictures you posted. They sound interesting.
I can't imagine building/working on a pedal steel. My head would explode.
I have enough trouble with my lap steels.

Thanks for the feedback on photos. I'll figure out something else right now.
Does this work for everyone? I've never used Photobucket before. http://s356.photobucket.com/user/keithc ... e.jpg.html

Thanks, Ron! I think I'll post a question about lowers on the pedal steel section.
