Lap Steel #3--Dobro Style

Post by DrByte »

This is lap steel number three for me. Didn't get very much feedback on the first two, thought I'd post another. I've got two more started in the shop. This one has a maple neck straight through and gold plated tuners. Three boxes glued end to end with maple braces inside boxes. Martin Dobro strings and tuned standard Dobro tuning for a cousin of mine that plays Dobro already. Aluminum angle for the bridge, grounded to jack. Corian nut. Frets are black pin-striping tape. Has good sound and good volume, no strange buzzes or noises found yet.

The boxes are just the frame/base on this one, very little acoustic output.
