hi Billy , Im impressed my friend , these are beautiful and thanks for the compliment ,do you notice any diference between the two different kind of nuts? Ill just about bet they are going to sell very quickly, you have a high quality steel there and i think your going to be busy making more , keep up the nice work . Russ

When I first started building lap steels, I used bone for the nuts and I thought "Hey this sounds really good". When I used the round brass rod nut that you made for the first 7 stringer, I was playing it and my wife and 30yr old son walked into the room and both said the sound of the steel with Brass nut was so much better and had a nice crisp, clear sound. That's the best way I can descibe it Russ. Hope to have some sound clips before too long. The brass in my opinion gives a cleaner bright sound.
