Scale Length Ease of Playing
I haven't seen anything on what scale length is easiest to play. Maybe there's no difference??? I built my first Lap Steel to a 24.5 scale and now thinking of another go at it. This time I'm thinking should I go with a 22" or stay with the middle of the road scale size. Any thoughts???
A good instrument is like a lady. Treat it nice and it will make memories.

24 inch scale works for me i use it for lap and pedal steel guitars , never had any second thoughts , other builders use other lengths but if it works on your lap then do what ya want .Even on regular guitars different people use different scale length s , an a note is gonna sound like an a note no matter what scale length you use .I had a MSA pedal that had a 24.5 inch scale sounded fine to me another guitar was longer it sounded good to me also. use what you want , Talk to someone else and you ll get a different opinion im sure I have never broke strings on anything that i made .
