AT IT AGAIN (Inlays I mean)

Post by sheffield steel »

Hi guys,

I'm on the trail again, building an SD10 for a guy. I will keep you posted (I'm sorry, but I just love paua shell & MoP).

Dave. :D

Dave, no need to say you're sorry :-) We'll put up with all this paua shell inlay and birdseye maple wood.
That looks just super already. Tell me, does this inlay come in full length so you don't have to join pieces? Also, is it uniform in thickness , and what is the thickness?

Hi Bent my friend,

The paua shell strips are 200mm long x 5mm wide x 1mm thick, I can also get them 200mm x 2mm x 1mm. I then have to joint them which is a pain in the butt. This inlay is the 5mm wide strips with 2mm wide MoP.
