Availability of stainless steel plate...

Post by Georg »

I have a number of 200 liters stainless steel "tanks" from water heaters, that I may cut up and use to make some PSG parts - mainly changer parts. Here in Norway I pick up old water heaters for nothing at the local supplier, as they get the old ones in when people replace their water heaters. People use these old stainless steel inner containers for everything from cutting them into over-sized Bar-B-Q units, to fitting them with new couplings and use them for low-pressure air and water tanks - certified to max 15Kg/cm2. I have used a couple of mine as intermediate containers along pipes to supply our cows with water on pastures.

Don't know if old water heaters with inner containers in stainless steel are available everywhere, but thought I should mention it here anyway.
