pedabro roller bridge

Post by Diamond Don »

I am constructing a roller bridge for my pedal dobro I made 20+ years ago. It has been sitting in limbo in a closet for that long. I have finally decided to clean it up and learn to play it and noticed that the original bridge was missing. does anyone know where I can get rollers like the ones on the tuning key head. Here is a photo.
Thanks

Hi Don,
I see by the construction that you would need rollers in that end as well. Now the strings are just sliding over that black bridge in the middle of the resonator right?
I suppose the best thing to do would be to contact a guy like Don Burrows at http://bsgsteelguitars.com/ and order some gauged rollers from him, and then to re-work your bridge to accept those.
Don is a great guy to deal with for rollers as well as steel guitar telescopic legs.

I could also recommend my buddy Gary who does my turning but it might be a bit cheaper to have it done in the US since you live there.
