Roller Nut Material

Looks like I'm seriously going to try a brass tubless tire valve. I can get tem from Kal Tire. It's a big truck tire valve 3.75 inches long. I grooved and cut one trial piece this morning.

Hey Eldon, can you post some pictures of those brass valve, my father in law owns a business and change and sells tires , if those fits ...i could probably make mine cheaper :)

Pat ...... I appologise for missing your post, I wasn't ignoring you, I just blew it.

Unfortunately I only have 4 rough cuts left for a photo. My problem was centering the hole for thew axle properly and these this worked well for me. They are slghtly tapered as is the hole - the proper size driil takes care of the taper. The ones I have left range between .304 and .310 inches in diameter, I re-drilled a .148 axle hole.

I paid almost $9.00 each for the 2 valve stems.

I'll take a photo of what I have left including my keyhead.

I will also be turning Nut roller after the frisr of the year/ brass .and custom string depth groove's keep the strings level. and at a very low cost.per set's
