Flute Taps

Post by Eldon »

I bought a 2 flute 6-32 tap today and not with standing the fact it is new seems to cut cleaner and easier that the 3 flute variety. It doesn't tighten up as quick so that one has to back it off and clean it before finishing the threads. Just a thought.............

It's a "gun tap", sometime they act like they're not cutting they thread so easy. Just as with all taps, and cutting tools, keep it well lubed with the proper cutting fluid..Bill
