Fret Cutting Jig...

Post by Allan »

Over the years I have dozens of requests, from two or three people, for some of the details of how I make fretboards. I have made quite a few versions of the jig that I use. It is so very simple that building it takes no time at all.
In case anyone is interested I have prepared two PDF files with details of how I cut these and they will be attached for download. (always assuming that I can get the upload system in to my head and working!)

I think the system is reasonably well explained in the docs but please feel free to ask if you want to know more.

Like everything else in this hobby/profession, you will be working with fast moving and sharp items. It is very limiting to be a guitar player with missing fingers. TAKE CARE - understand what is going on in a process before you start.

Best regards, Allan.....

Only nuts eat squirrels.
Keep yer tools sharp! That way you can use more of your strength guiding them AWAY from your body rather than forcing the cut!!!
