Wiring 2 George L E-66's/3-way switch/1 Vol./1 tone ????

Post by railkat »

Hi Folks,

I have a double neck console steel that i'm trying to correct some wiring issues on. I'm wondering if anyone has a schematic or an idea of the correct way to wire 2 E66's, a 3 way switch(on-off-on), and 1 volume pot and 1 tone pot (mine has the capicitor). I have kind of exhausted my google searches for information on this. Thanks for any insights or tips you can share.

Aaron -

Covering your bases with a post on the SGF?

There's a ton of stuff on the 'net. Just gotta know what to look for. Since this is up my alley I'll find ya one which won't be confusing - unless someone on the SGF beats me to it!

Please describe your three-way switch. Slide switch? Toggle? Lever?

Get back to me.

Aaron -

Found a bunch of diagrams on the web which would work but thought that you might get confused. Made up a cheapy diagram of my own. Hope that I can attach it.

Notes: - The drawing of the potentiometer is from the FRONT - where the knob goes. Reference this to the drawing. You should be able to determine the connections on the jack. The wiper of the volume pot goes straight to the tip connection of the jack.

Let's see if I can attach the drawing.
