A good article about pickup design

Post by pit lenz »

Hello my fellow wiretwisters,

here is a very good article about the electronic details of guitar pickups.
To those, brave enough to try the German original (plus many more informations) try this site.
Very educative...
Greetings from the land of beers

Pit, That's a GREAT article. So great in fact that a lot of it went over my head and will require some serious study. Either that, or throw my little pickup-winding venture on the dump. You posted this just as I was winding pup # 8. Telepathy?
Thanks Pit.

Hey Bent,
I´m happy you can use some of that info.

And sorry for snatching the pickup parts right in front of your nose at the forum...
Was there anything particular that you wanted from the package that I could share?

Anyway, don´t dump your little winding adventure! ;)

Hi Pit,
I am sure you can make good use of those parts. I know that you got them at a bargain price...I just ordered some of that stuff from stew-mac and I'll tell ya it's no joke, the way they soak ya for shipping. Just makes the whole purchase unjustifiable!
I should be set for a while now, but thanks for the offer.
If you are stuck for a magnet supplier, here's one that I use: http://www.jobmastermagnets.com/...just a couple hours drive from where I live.

I do, however, have a question that you might be able to answer so I'll send you an email thru the forum.
