high output humbuckers compaird to steel guitar pickups
i have built a few lap steel guitars using high output humbucker pickups, i have noticed using these pickups instead of the usual steel pickup, that the sound is a lot differant, i have a Nasville 112 steel Amp and a cheap fender frontman i have noticed the high output humbucker sounds a lot better in the guitar amp than the Nashville 112 , must be the way the pickups are wound, has any one notice this, and what is the differance in a high output humbucker designed for guitar compaired to a steel gituar pickup such as the George l or alumitone, i have a alumitone p90 actually a bass pickup i am getting ready to install in a lap steel anyone used the alumitone in a lap steel.

Generally speaking, pedal steel pickups are wound "hotter" than six-string humbuckers.
