I wanna hear from some of you that have cast some parts.How bad was the shrinkage?Did it go well for you or had you rather just mill your parts?

I agree that this topic needs more attention because so many people show interest in it but there is somewhat of a lack of information.One of the main reasons I want to know more about it is in case I ever do get into building a pedal steel I would want to cast the pedal board for one and probalbly ...

I realize a lot of the really small machines are not the best due to lack of weight and you can get a wlot of chatter when your working.I wouldnt mind having an older american made machine but I dont need something that is gonna require a lot of work because I doubt anyone around me could do any wor...

I have done a few google searches of table top mills and its actually taken me longer to compile a list of manufacturers than I expected.A model under the top tech name doesent seem bad and harbor freight has some nice little models as well but I hear too many bad reviews on them.Right now Im still ...

I have heard of Warco Mills before but I dont know if I have ever ran across any online or not.I dont want to spend a whole lot and had originally hoped I could find an atleast ok machine for 700 dollars or less.I actually found a company called wholesale tool that makes one for 700 dollars that act...

Thanks for all this information.I have enjoyed reading all these post and I always write down all this stuff because it may be valuable info when I decide to try casting something.

If I ever eally try to cast anything it will probalbly be the keyhead and maybe endplates and pedals but it sounds like the neck can be a very complicated piece if you are not good at casting.

Im guessing necks are like endplates you have to cast them whole and then mill out the place for the changer and pickup as well as the underside.

Yes I will for sure be checking out a ton of the older post I enjoy reading all the great inormation.I am gonna check out the videos mentioned here as well.
