Re: Finishing supplies
Good story there Bent. I have never quite understood what was meant by a 'wet coat' - I assume it means 'as much as you can get on there without runs or curtaining'... I have just completed spraying color coat on my current project and it is hanging around waiting for the paint to cure so that I can...

Fret Cutting Jig...
Over the years I have dozens of requests, from two or three people, for some of the details of how I make fretboards. I have made quite a few versions of the jig that I use. It is so very simple that building it takes no time at all. In case anyone is interested I have prepared two PDF files with de...

PDF's...
Larry, I have a design for the jig that I use for making fret boards that I have drawn up and made into a PDF. Is there any way that I could make it downloadable from the forum? I mean does the 'attach' feature extend to such things? It consists of a drawing and a text file with the instructions on ...

Re: How to make bell cranks
OK, here I go... I feel that it would be wrong to censor posts in a builders forum because some one may get hurt trying to copy an idea in a post. It's a builders forum, people will come here if they find that there is something that interests them - they will quickly loose interest if they have to ...

Re: Keyless Tuner
Eldon, I'll tell you how I do this kind of thing. Firstly, do you use a CAD prog? I use AutoSketch ver,2. This prog lets me import what it calls 'slides'. So if I can find a reasonable straight on picture of the piece I want to copy I do a screen grab of that piece and import it. All I need at that ...

Re: McGregor Steels
That is quite some project Don. What an amazing slab of wood you have at the bottom there. What kind of numbers are you looking at as regards weight? Will you be chambering the slab to make it lighter?
Please keep us up to date on that lovely piece of wood.

Oh look! A brand new forum... Now, what shall I say? Oh, I know! Hey, Larry, NICE job . I wish you all the best with the venture and thank you for it. I have seen this software in many other forums and I really like the clean look. Thank again for what should turn out to be an excellent resource. Be...
