I read your question a couple of ways: This is what I believe you are asking.... I like to setup working from the cross shafts located closest to the changer first. The main reason is if you start on the keyhead end you have to work around pull rods from previously installed pedals.

The Sho Bud Super Pro is a pretty good guitar for the most part. The weak point is the 'pot' metal cast parts in many of them tend to break, especially the knee lever assemblies. The 'L' brackets are one part that comes to mind. I have scene some well used guitars also have worn changer finger assem...

I usually use an abrasive cut-off wheel..... If just doing a couple, a dremel tool works fine. For more than a couple the air grinder is used.
