Good job Bent, I think I would agree with Richard to mill the shaft slot first, but if you feed slowly and make a few passes you should get it ok... Mike

Thanks again Bent, yes I think it is a collector, the only problem with making a copy of a finger tip is only one raise and one lower per string. Check out Patent number 3407697 on the patents site. I am in the process of a build, had to quit for a while, had to get some things done before cold weat...

Thanks Bent, Yes it is my name, and you are probably right where the patents came from. I am supprised as to what you type in to look for, and what you find. Type in "string puller" then try "tone changing apperitus" and you get something different... I have been messing with steels for about 40 yea...

Hello I just joined this fourm and have read quite a bit on different types of changers. Just for your information you can go to Google Patents.com and type in "steel guitar string apperattius" or "string puller" or any type of discription, and you will find patents from very early "1940's thru now....
