24 inch scale too long for c6th tuning?
I'm making my first lap steel. Nothing fancy for this one as I plan to experament with it some. I play the dobro some, so I plan to make the steel a 24 inch scale as a comprise with the 25 inch scale dobro and a shorter scale lap steel. Though I would like to try the shorter scale of 22 1/2 I though...

What tool do you use to notch your bridge and nut?
I plan to use 3/8's brass for both the nut and bridge of my lap steel. I was going to use a triangular file to cut the notches but read somewhere that this is not the best way to cut a notch as you tend to get a "plunky" sound. Dont know if I could ever find that post again but in any case I know I ...
