Re: Most Used Pedals in Country Music

I appreciate your answer. I'm making this steel just to keep me busy for the 90 days until I can get a standing pedal steel made. I only have a limited amount of space behind the bridge to mount the bars. Coming from a standard guitar perspective, I can do a few steel-like bends using the G and B st...

The Palm Steel Guitar Build

I am trying to build a Pedal-less steel guitar with string bending capabilities. I have included a crude drawing at the bottom. Re: Affinity Strat converted to lap steel

So I am guessing this pickup is wound to 700-1000 Ohms because it is being sold as a Lap steel pickup? http://www.vintagevibeguitars.com/windows/hum_lapWin.html Will I be disappointed in the tone from the affinity? I was talking with a guitar luthier and he was saying that I might considering the bo...

Affinity Strat converted to lap steel

Where did this forum come from!! I have searched lap steel several times and only found the exclusive steelguitarforum.com which you must pay $5 to post. QUESTION #1 >> I have an Affinity Strat ($99 guitar that came with the starter strat pack). >>that I find useless. I was wondering what would be t...

Re: new member texas

Someone mentioned using a chromatic tuner to mark all the frets. This sounded like a good idea to me.
