Can anyone tell me if American Tulipwood (Yellow Poplar) is any good for making pedal steels. Maple here in the UK is really expensive and where I live is virtually impossible to get hold of. I know Tulipwood is much lighter than Maple and the density is 580Kg per m3 as opposed to Maple being 770Kg ...
