What is your scale length? That could be the cause of the string breakage.

Also, the Day copedent as shown on bOb.com has the pedal order reversed compared to that shown for Emmons. LKL is the same on both. All other knees are different. I could see that making following lessons that much harder if I will have to modify pedal instructions in my head. Or is that the kind o...

I never met Tom, but I did have an opportunity to play one of his lap steels once. It was a work of art, and it sounded absolutely perfect. It was its owner's most prized possession.

Sad to hear of his passing, but what a wonderful legacy. I wish I had known him.

The original rods have a simple U shape. I suppose they could slip off off they had too much slack, but not if the guitar is properly adjusted.

Looks good, Bent. Could you sell me such a thing? I don't have the tools (or the skill) to make one myself.

I have a Carter with the brass barbells that slip into the bell cranks. I can thread pull rods, no problem, but I don't know how to put the loop in the other end to precisely fit the barbell.

How do you do that?
