I also noticed that the thickness of of your headstock reduced the amount of the post sticking out.If the thickness is around one half inch, the post will protrude more and give you more to wind the string on.As your other poster mentioned, I learned all these things the hard way!

I noticed on your last headstock pic that the low string is almost ready to come off the post. If the string is wound from bottom up, it will tend to hold the string better.otherwise it sure looks like a great first attempt!

Allan can we see a pic of the back. I sort of see how you are doing the bridge. It looks like a mount from the back . nice looking and I like the body shape!!

The bridge I have used twice is the one with the removable bar.It works great and no issues whatsoever.He is very prompt and great to deal with. Gary

starsailor. those are Revi bridges and they are great bridges. Solid and work very well. He send good size screws for mounting also.He also has nice nuts! ok no wise remarks lol.I have used his bridges and nuts on three of my builds and they work great.
