Hey Jason, thanks for the response! Like I mentioned it's one piece of wood, so there's no glue there at all.

Has anyone ever seen a reaction like this? I first noticed it in my primer coat. I tried spraying much thinner, misting it, much thicker, and in a range of different temperatures and humidities. I eventually got it good enough and figured it could be a product of the primer I used being fairly thick...

Pedal steel pickups are usually about 2" center to center from the bridge Great, thank you! It seems like lap steel pickups are often butted almost right up against the bridge, but while I'll like the twang a lot I think this lap steel will be used in the background of recordings at my studio a lot...

You'll get different opinions on this. So, this is just my opinion: I really like parallel spacing. I see no advantage in non-parallel spacing. Bar slants are not esoteric. I do them all the time.
