Re: New Lap Steel from china (maybe)
Glad to see everyone posting all the comments. Here is what I have learned so far. Got two quotes and will kind of give you an idea of what has happened. Got two hits from Alibaba when I posted to them what I was looking for. First one was $58. This was their stock lap steel. Got the second one but ...

Re: New Lap Steel from china (maybe)
I agree with both of you guys. I am not offended by anything anyone is posting. That is the reason that I put all this out there. I want folks to be honest about it. The one thing I am trying to do is put an inexpensive piece out there that is pretty good quality that they can start playing but the ...

Re: Changing nut
That one is out of stock....so I guess I will just get a right handed one and try it. Wonder if I could take one of the nut extenders and put over the nut or just make one from really thin aluminum and cut the grooves? Just another thought. I put ads all over craigslist for one either right or left ...

Changing nut
I am going to buy an SX lap steel. The only ones they carry are the right handed ones and I am a lefty. Is it possible to just get another piece of angle iron or angle aluminum of some type and change it over to make it a lefty (cutting the spots for the string to lay in) ? Played at a guitar for so...
