Re: 008 in the works

Bent,

Another job well done! Any fly trying to land on that one will have a crash landing for sure
Can't wait to see the final piece.

Re: My First Build Update

Ross, I appreciate the input and what you say makes a lot of sense. I am in the Kansas City area and have seen used mills on Craigslist going for around 2k which is about what the Jet sells for, and the used units sometimes have a lot of tooling included. Only problem I've seen is that the units usu...

Re: My First Build Update

Thanks Bent for the kind words, just wish I could make my projects look half as good as yours :) The fret board I made by taking Holly strips and inlaying them for the frets and boarder, the position markers I sort of took the short cut approach as a test and used the stick on aged MOP markers and l...

Re: My First Build Update

Thanks for compliment. I think it sounds pretty good myself, but then again I wear hearing aids in both ears :) I have never recorded a steel before but am going to attempt to get it done. May take it to someone who can play and record for a true assessment.

Re: My First Build Update

Been awhile since I posted any pics or progress, so here are some examples. The underside is more functional rather than for show. Being this is my first build, I am more focused on it working and sounding the way it should and will replace all bellcranks with machined parts later when I acquire a m...

Re: Return spring strength

Looks like a great idea to me and it is always good to use gravity when you can. When I saw the pic it had to work because their is just something about a barstool and a "Bud" that always works for me  Thanks for the post.

Re: Pedal connector question

Just placed my order and it went thru with no problem and have my invoice. If you have any problems let me know and providing I receive my order, I would be more than happy to get some more and send them your way ;)

Re: Pedal connector question

Here ya go Bent, hope this works. I found this site and the picture and specs appear to be correct for the application. Let me know what you think as I am about ready to hit the button on the order for qty. of 10 @ $2.56. Here is the link http://www.midwestcontrol.com/part.php?id=2413 The part numbe...
