Hey sorry Xavier I havnt been on in awhile, i think it was 5/8 because its the only router bit I had or could find with the straight shape I needed . But I'll double check for you.

Judging by your last build I don't think your going to have a problem, everything I've seen on wood bending latly seems to be with a press using a heat 'blanket' made specifically for bending guitar sides. You could make the press I'm not sure what one of the heat blankets would run you. I bent the ...

Thanks again Ron! I'm pretty excited with this one. I was looking through the pictures of your pedal steel build, amazing. I have a milling machine but I'm pretty far off from trying to figure out anything like that. It looks pretty technical. On a side note,.. I'm sure alot of you guys are thinking...

Had a good night tonight, I was dreading routering those slots but it turned out ok in the end. I think most of my time was spent staring at it trying to figure out how I was even going to do it! When you say 2 boards, I'm assuming your going to be gluing them together.,? I was just wondering what you meant by the top board doing all the work and if 3/4 would handle the string tention. I would think an overall thickness of 1-1/2 would be ok.. 2-1/2 would be preety heavy duty. I'm far from so...
